Just Lunch: Pinea

The W Washington DC hotel recently opened a new restaurant with Chef Barry Koslow.
I checked out the new menu with my bestie from St. Louis and Baby E. We started out the meal with three appetizers.
You can't go wrong with charred octopus and chorizo.
How about the crab croquetas? Fried balls of crab... yes, please!
The Bruschetta trio has something for everyone with toasted bread topped with avocado and pistachio, chickpeas, and smoked ricotta. But the real stars of the show were the entrees.
Kitty tried the lamb burger with harissa, yogurt, feta and polenta fries. The burger was delicious and perfectly seasoned.
I loved the Spaghetti Nero with clams, crab, pancetta and chilies. It isn't a dish I would typically order because I've had so many bland versions at other restaurants, but Pinea does it right. Don't skip dessert.
