Jaleo Celebrates 10 Years in Crystal City

By Claire Goldman

Jose Andres' Jaleo Crystal City tapas restaurant rang in its 10th anniversary in style.  The Arlington location of the DC staple restaurant was transformed into a Spanish market with different regions from Barcelona to Valencia all represented at stations throughout.

My favorites included the gazpacho and the pan con tomate with tortilla from the Madrid station.

Madrid also shined with a Sangria station and of course there were assorted Spanish olives, since Spain's countryside is covered in the fruitful trees.
Of course a celebration of Spain would not be complete without Jamon direct from the Jamonero. This man could hardly slice fast enough and the bone was completely bare by night's end.

Chef Andres always delivers with the Spanish standards and new innovative takes on the classics.  For all the Paella lovers out there, Jaleo in Bethesda will host its 12th Annual Paella Festival on October 6th.  Click here for tickets and more information.
